About Dean

Curtis Dean Hall taught in Kansas public school systems for twenty years.
His experience with the brokenhearted children, overwhelmed parents and stressed-out teachers he encountered daily led him to become a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in stress and trauma.
He has a Masters of Science Degree from Friends University in Family Therapy and has been in private practice since 1995.
Widely regarded by his colleagues as a clinical innovator, Dean has developed-
- The SMART program (Stress Management And Relaxation Training) that was researched and found to be effective at Friends University.
- A stress reduction program specifically designed for the needs of teachers entitled SMARTT (Stress Management And Relaxation Training for Teachers)
- A groundbreaking approach to surgery preparation that encourages people to access their faith by combining well-researched clinical strategies with select scriptures from the Psalms. Psalms For Surgery has been published by Tate Publishing in 2007.
- Several self-calming CD's designed to assist and aid busy professionals in enhancing performance by reducing stress.
- A 6-day wilderness retreat for married couples (and those about to get married) called AIM (Adventures In Marriage).
In addition, Dean writes a weekly advice column entitled "Thinking Like A Therapist" for the Ark City Traveler and is an engaging speaker who entertains and informs audiences across the nation with his captivating blend of clinical experience, humor and passion for life.
But most importantly, Dean has come to believe he is truly blessed to have the opportunity to participate in the quiet miracle of watching people find the power to change, heal and grow.
